Everyone does well on spelling

We took our spelling test today and every single person did well!

In writer’s workshop we started our argumentative writing for the other opinion. In argumentative, it is important to be able to argue both points. Earlier this week, they picked a side for an argumentative piece -- a piece that presents a point of view.  Once they had chosen the side they believed, I had them write the other side.  This helps young writers look at information from another point of view.  After those pieces were finished, I let them argue for the side they said they believed in at first.  I am eager to see if writing counter to their personal opinion makes their pieces stronger.

In science we were in the computer lab.
