Today was a busy day but we are getting into a routine. That is always so difficult at the beginning of a new year, no matter the age.
We worked on word problems in math. We did several together and checked them. They do have homework for tonight. It is page 13 and includes 8 word problems.
For bell work (work that is on students' desks when they come in of the morning) we did an anagram page.
For spelling we wrote the spelling word that went along with the clue.
In language we went over procedures for Writer's Workshop. Our own personal writing coach will be here tomorrow for his first visit. He is a professor from TCU and works with my class every year. He does this for classes all over the country, as well as for teachers, but we get him for free! We are very fortunate.
Tomorrow is Wacky Hair day. I told the students that I had that every day!
